Year 5 2021 - 2022
Welcome to Year 5
This term our BIG question is:
Can it ever be right to invade?
We are focussing on the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Through this we will be studying the UK's history, and exploring what life was like for them.
Our main texts for this term are: How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell and Arthur and the Golden Rope by Joe Stanton.
The Curriculum Page on the website helps you find out much more about each of the subjects.
Our Knowledge mats can be downloaded from the files at the bottom of the page so you can see exactly what the "sticky knowledge" is we want the children to learn.
Please familiarise yourself with the Teaching and Learning in Year 5 document you can download at the bottom of this page. It has lots of information about our day, what we learn and how we learn. The timetable for a usual week in Year 5 is also on this document.
Here are our Knowledge Organisers for the Autumn Term. These are used by the children to higlight key information and vocabulary for a topic.
