Our Big Question for Spring Is...
What brings a city together?
Mr Darbyshire and Mrs Jones would like to welcome all the new parents and children to Year 2. We've put together this page as I'm sure you have lots of questions, requests and even concerns, especially after a disrupted and difficult end to Year 1.
This page and all the resources you can find on it are designed to provide you with the information and support you may need so that your child has the most successful year they possilbly can in school.
Welcome to Year 2 Presentation - Please read this informative presentation to find out how our curriculum is organised, important days, homework expectations and lots of other useful information.
Our Y2 Curriculum Overview - Take a look at what topics are taught, in what subjects and at what point in the year.
Knowledge Organisers - Download all the 'sticky knowledge' and key information that your child will be learning about in Year 2. These are split into separate subjects/topics/etc.
Our Timetable - Have a look at your child's classroom learning timetable.
Google Classroom - Our Year 2 Google Classroom page where homework will be set and can be submitted electronically each week.
School Curriulum Policy - Our whole school curriculum policy.
We often get asked lots of questions about the KS1 SATs that happen at the end of Year 2. We have included a video below that answers many of these.
We have also now added a video to show a phonics screening check happening so you can practise these at home.
