Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to all our new Year 5 pupils! This year is going to be an amazing year, full of lots of learning, laughter and love. 

Our Big Question this term is....

What is beyond the horizon?

This term we will be learning about forces and exploring outer space in Science, producing writing linked to NASA's mars rover 'Curiosity', enjoying our sci-fi adventure novel 'George's Secret Key to The Universe', exploring the extreme (and sometimes deadly) weather events and natural disasters of our planet and even taking a trip to an interactive children's Science museum to take part in a bespoke workshop all about Space.

 

Our main texts for this term are: Curiosity by Markus Motum and George's Secret Key to The Universe by Lucy & Stephen Hawking.
